Youth from Garissa becomes an Environmental Ambassador

Abdikadir Aden, the next environmental icon for Kenya has become a Regional Tunza Eco-Generation Ambassador for the youth and children worldwide and in Kenya. As a young person, Aden’s life has been full of goodwill, passion and devotion to Mother Nature. He will promote eco-generation to raise awareness of the environmental issues among the children and youth around the world.
This is a networking platform run by The Samsung Engineering Company and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) through the young people around the world. It involves series of environmental activities that an ambassador is to be engaged in and address different environmental issues both at local and global levels.
He has been selected and luckily being amongst the 28 youth worldwide and the 2nd among the two selected from Kenya who will be environmental ambassodors. To him, It has not been an easy task but he is glad to have been selected. He hopes to do a lot for his term as an Ambassodor.
To me, it means a lot to be an environmental ambassador; to be a role model for the young people and inspire them towards a better future. My biggest dream is to become a United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Goodwill Ambassador and even bring the Nobel Peace Prize to Northern Kenya.
Abdikadir says, “Everything is possible. All it needs is to have faith in oneself and believe that is possible. As long as you believe in yourself, you will be whoever you want to be and there is no one who is standing infront of you from achieving it.
